I have already registered for self assessment and I have received a UTR no. I need to file tax now before 31/1/24 for property income from 6/4/22 to 5/4/23. I go to self assessment online and fill the many pages until i reach the national insurancce (i indicate i have no national insurance) so next page they ask for UK postal code and i dun have as I am non residenet and i cannot proceed. Appreciate help. i chat with HMRC chatline and they say i need get national insurance no !!! i google and that is for people working in UK. I dont think the chatline people knows what they are talking about. I dunno why the online system is not easy to use. I want to pay my tax but I cannot proceed.

Hi, can someone advise me i cannot go further as I don’t have a uk address postal code and don’t know what to key in under that.
