Thanks, so if I wish to claim for tax overpaid on my self-employment earnings I should file a self assessment?

I earned around £750 from self-employed work last year in addition to my employment earnings, is it necessary to file a tax return and pay Class 2 NI on my earnings from self-employment?

Hi I'm helping someone fill in their Self Assessment and unsure whether their income from their monthly State and Irish pensions needs to be included? I'm aware that all income has to be declared but a few people have suggested that these do not need to be included. Just looking for some clarification. Thanks.
