  • RE: Tax to pay is higher than my earnings?

Never mind, I figured it out!
  • Tax to pay is higher than my earnings?

Hi there, I've just gone through my self-assessment for 2021-22, and the total amount due is way more than what I actually earned last year. (Amount due is over £4000, but I only earned around £2200). I am wondering if this is taking into account my full-time pay as well? As I am employed full-time as well as earning independently. I pay taxes through PAYE for my full-time job, however, so am very confused as to why the total amount is so high. Should I just submit the form and HMRC will work out what I actually need to pay? Thank you to anyone who can advise.
