  • Self-assessment portal unable to verify details

    Hello, I have been waiting several hours now with HMRC customer care and no one picks up to help. I have called both the numbers provided to me 03002003300 and 03002003310. I am trying to connect with HMRC since December last year with absolutely no luck. I then sent an email to hmrcsupport@tax.service.gov.uk in order to get some help but all I got is I need to connect via phone and they provide me with the same numbers. I am in a vicious circle. I am trying to connect to my personal tax account profile since December to file a self-assessment as it said that will be quick. I am currently dealing with my father being diagnosed with Cancer and taking care of him since last year hence have less time to send the paper copy. Every time I enter the details it says my details don't match with the HMRC and no one is able to tell me what details don't match so I can fix it. I have seen many people facing the same issue. Is there a solution available? Kind Regards Piyush
