RE: Working in oversea
As another Hongkonger with BNO visa, may I clarify with you concerning indication for NI contribution? I Only go back to Hong Kong for 4 weeks, work as part time (12 hours per week, totally 4 weeks) with total salary around 2000 pounds. This is my only overseas job this year. The company I worked for has no relationship or trade with uk. It is not required for me to make any social security contribution in HK side. In this situation, should I need to apply for NI contribution in uk? If so, what is the means I can do it? AS I saw from above post that I should write to department for international caseworker, where can I find the email for this department? Million thanks for your clarification. -
RE: Overseas salary tax

AS UK tax resident, I will go back to HK for a 3 weeks part time duty (total less than 45 hours with pay around 2000 pounds in total), with no other overseas work this year. This company has no business or relationship with UK. MAY I Know in this situation, do I need to apply for NI tax or not? If yes, what is the means? Thanks again for the clarification -

RE: reporting fund
If I sold my overseas fund and it ends up a capital loss. Did it mean that I do not need to report this trade to HMRC during tax submission. -
reporting fund
Dear HMRC I have unit trust bought from other country. I can find it under the reporting fund list under HMRC website. May i clarify 2 points from you? 1. For the intetest i recieved (>5000 pounds annually), should it be counted as DIVIDEN instead of overseas INterest category ?( as they have different tax rating) 2. If i dispose it in future, will the gain counted as Capital Gain instead of Income ? Many thanks for your clarification Mr Wong
