Second Job tax impact on primary job?
Hi, Sorry if this has been asked before. I have tried to read around the subject but I'm unsure still. Basically, I currently have a well paying job with an income of £56,000~ per year. I do, however, need to increase my income and I am considering getting a second job. If I get a second job, how will that affect the tax on my main job? Will it be a case that my income and take home salary on the first job will remain the same but then I'll get taxed more heavily on the second job? Is it possible for me to get taxed more from having two jobs and actually impact my primary job take-home pay to the extent that it negates the income from my second job? Thanks - apologies for the possibly silly questions. I just want to make sure I understand.
