We applied for our existing DAN with the new EORI number. The issue is that the CDS system does not show the deferment account in the portal. Can you please help?
I am afraid that answer isn't correct. The issue at hand is that I am unable to see for deferment number in the CDS system because we changed EORI. This is HMRC's issue and it still hasn't been resolved.
Can you please help as I am not loosing access to the CHIEF system so essentially cannot import anymore on the deferment number as my CDS account is not operational due to the aforementioned issue?
Hello, I now received an email from HMRC saying my request to extend CHIEF has been rejected. However, I still cannot see my deferment account in our CDS account so as a result unable to use it. What is the solution to this problem as HMRC still hasn't solved the underlying issue, yet rejects the extension? thank you .
Hello - is there an update on this issue as I still haven't received anything. In the meantime, I got an email below from the CDS mismatch team.
Do I now need to go back to the duty deferment team who last time I called didn't have any solution to offer?

In the meantime, I have heard back from the CDO team on a separate email:
"I believe you had a change of EORI which is preventing you from being able to view your deferment account under this EORI.
This is a complex problem requiring changes to our IT and therefore requires the help of specialists to fully resolve. This is a known problem within HMRC due to problems with existing and newly created data.
We are sorry for the time it is taking to resolve your issue. Our specialised team are still working on a resolution due to the complex nature of the error."
I then asked for the timeline to solve this given October 1st deadline. I then got this answer:
"We don’t have a current timeline, CHIEF will still be available to use."
Can you therefore confirm that CHIEF will still be available for imports past September 30th, 2022?
I am also someone else facing issues with CDS registration. I was able to register and got a screen confirming the registration, linked with my correct EORI number (we had to change it 18 months ago to link it to our VAT number).
Then unable to either set up a new DD or add a freight forwarder. Talking to the helpline, I got told it was because our existing DAN is not linked with the CDS. However, I am able to access the current CHIEF statements on the portal so it seems like the DAN is at least correctly linked to the EORI.
Has anyone else faced a similar issue? I have emailed now:
None of them with a resolution thus far.
