  • Customs - holiday to the EU

We are planning a holiday to the EU as soon as Covd allows but we are very confused about what we're allowed to take with us on our holiday with the new post-Brexit customs rules. We understand we're allowed to take items up to a value of 430 euros (or, we presume, 860 euros as there are two of us) but how is this calculated? Does this include items in our suitcase such as clothes? The watches we are wearing? Our phones? We were both hoping to take our laptops (both over a year old) to keep up with friends and family and to surf the internet, but would these be subject to charges? We're struggling to find out this information and we don't want it to cause problems. Many thanks and we hope you can help to clarify this for us! Matt Carnell
