your were actively looking for a new tenant and intended to continue the rental business.

If your rental income is starting in December 2023 then you will need to declare rental profits and
expenses for the period December 2023 to 5 April 2024.
If any income received was for the period 1 – 5 April you should also notify us of this.

for the inome that is generated :

As the code as been updated for 2023/24 and adjusted for an underpayment in the 2023/24 tax year then
this will not be shown on the 2022/23 Self Assessment tax returnm .

Tax return was lost by Royal Mail
Hi,
You would need to submit a new tax return.
If for 2022/23 you would need to contact HMRC for a paper tax return to be issued.
You can also file the tax return online up to 31 January 2024.

Hi,
Please have a look at the guidance for boxes 15 & 16 of SA109 notes, as they advise
who can claim personal allowances when not resident in the UK.

Where the conditions of boxes 15 & 16 cannot be met, the non resident individual cannot claim personal allowances.
