Hi I started my full time job in May 2021 and income tax and NI were duly deducted by my employer with PAYE every month. However, when I login my person tax account just now, it said I paid £0 income tax and NI contributions. I checked this community forum for similar cases, people found out their payment data was stored in HMRC's temporary system and HMRC's officers then help them to merge the data with the online person tax account. I guess it could be the reason for my missing records too since I don't have a NI number until three months after starting my job.
Please advise if you could help fixing my tax record, thank you.
I have a full time job and got some foreign bank interest income to declare. The HMRC system keep saying "we are unable to process your registration form for Self Assessment as the form is incomplete". I think it is due to none boxes for the reason of the need to complete a return was checked. As my foreign interest income is less than £300, so I did not check the box. Could you please advise how can I register for self assessment then? Thank you so much.
