I commissioned an accounting firm to do the self assessment return for my husband and me. We paid the deposit, submitted the info in July 2022 and had some exchanges via emails. Since then, we cannot get any response with the firm neither by email and phone. We are concerned to miss the submission and payment deadline. Any possibility that I can request HMRC to extend the deadline? Any option or suggestion how to move forward? I'm getting a bit nervous about this and any help would be greatly appreciated.
