Hello, I posted an SA1 paper form in UK for a UTR number on 11 January. Now I am back in Hong Kong where I live, based on the suggested 21 day timeframe for overseas receipt of the UTR number it is already about 2 weeks overdue, please tell me how can I most easily check that the application is in process?; I have tried calling HMRC international line but the line is engaged each time for 30 to 40 minutes. I need to know if this first application is in process, as if it is not then I will have to start the whole process again and send a new SA1 form so as not to lose more time. A reply here or by email would be really appreciated, as right now I am stuck, cannot make any progress. Thanks
