There is no Income Tax due on an inheritance payment.
If you invest the money, then you should declare any interest/dividends that you receive from it to HMRC.

If you use the cash basis, the only deduction you can make for expenses is a maximum of £1000. For this reason this method does not suit everyone and so is optional.

There has been no change in guidance regarding driving instructors.
If you now have a new car, you can choose to use the simplified method instead of claiming actual expenses and capital allowances.
If you are still using a car that you claimed the simplified expenses for, you must continue with this.
