  • RE: GCT Expense on Property

Looking at this specifically, are professional property dressing services treated as marketing and advertising and therefore an allowable expense of selling? For clarification, this service furnishes the property for creating photos and facilitating viewing, but this furniture can not be used and is only for presentation. It is a temporary service and all of the furniture is then returned.
  • GCT Expense on Property

I note that professional fees can be offset when selling a property. I am selling an empty BTL property, and the estate agent is requesting that we use a professional service to dress it (short term hire furniture that is only for viewing and not to be used). Is this an allowable deduction?
