  • Self-Assessment Tile is Not Visible on My Personal Tax Account

Hello, I received my UTR last year and I filed my tax return for 2021-2022 through an accountant. I am not sure if the accountant filed the paper return or online. Until that point, I did not create a personal tax account or had a government gateway ID. I created both in June 2023. Now, when I login to HMRC, I do not see Self Assessment tile on my personal tax account. I've tried many times to fill in an online form by following a link which was meant to register for self-assessment if you are NOT self employed (as I work full time for my employer and my tax is deducted through PAYE). Initially my form submission were rejected citing reason that address do not match and that I should match it exactly with what I have on my personal account. I've attempted that many times but with no luck, I received a letter from HMRC to file my tax return even though my taxes are deducted through PAYE and I have no other income source. How can I get the "Self-Assessment" tile on my personal tax account? Thanks!
