RE: Voluntary National Insurance Contributions from Overseas in One Payment (not via uk.gov site)
Thank you -- I have looked at form CF83 and NI38. Before I complete form NI38, please advise on the following: 1) I lived in the UK for the first 26 years of my life (I have been abroad for 36 yeas); I return to UK annually to visit family -- does this mean that I am considered 'ordinarily resident'? 2) If I want to make a one-time voluntary payment for the 6 years I am missing (in order to qualify for my state pension), how can I indicate this on the form? -
Voluntary National Insurance Contributions from Overseas in One Payment (not via uk.gov site)
I am a UK citizen, I live overseas permanently. I have qualifying NI payments. I did a state pension forecast. I need to pay 6 years' worth of National Insurance voluntary payments in order to qualify for my state pension. How can I find out how much I need to pay? How I can make a one-time payment for all 6 years? I am able to get onto the uk.gov site but I can’t get far enough to clarify these next steps since I don’t have the required 2 ‘identifying documents’. All advice welcome
