Can I use the‘ real time’ Capital Gains Tax service to report a sale of foreign stocks?

Dear Sir / Madam Apologies, I am very new to this despite my age. I have always been PAYE all my life and do not fill out a tax return. I have American stocks from the share scheme working for HP back in 1997. I have also sold my Stocks from a UK company share scheme this year and find myself over the £3k limit with a £5111 gain. Had I known it was this difficult to calculate returns for US stocks I wouldn't have sold the stocks ever! Can I use the‘ real time’ Capital Gains Tax service to report a sale of foreign stocks?
