My tax code recently change and I wanted to find out why. When I looked at my taxable income report this year from a previous employer, I could see that my final weeks pay had been put on the report twice. This led me to look at the past 5 years and again I have found multiples duplicates, which has resulted in total earnings, Tax and NI being calculated wrong. I asked my husband to check his and he has the same duplicate errors, however he works for a different company. I have been looking into this and it seems to be a common error. I will be contacting HMRC direct today to discuss and getting my figures correct and a rebate as over the past 5 years the figure is into the hundreds. I want to add this to the form to make other people aware and to check their accounts.
