Form 17 Question
I am on 40% tax and my wife is 20%. We both own our rental property 50/50. Am I right in saying if I want to give my wife a larger percentage of our rental income I have to prove that she has some sort of higher percentage claim to the property. OR does that not matter and I can just give her a higher percentage in the Form 17 even although she is 50%? Thanks Jim -
Property allowance V Management fee expenses
Hi Folks, Just new and renting a small flat and trying to figure all this stuff out.. Am I right in saying you can't claim your £1000 property allowance and also claim your property company management fee at the same time. Is it either one or the other. My management charges about £900 per year. Thanks Jim
