  • Buying National Insurance to fill in gap years

I have several missed years during which I was unemployed as I was full time carer (unpaid, no benefits claimed, living off my savings). I have 37 full years of NI contributions. I am 63, now in full time employment. My salary is £11,500 pa. Since 35 years full contributions are required to qualify for a full state pension, is there any benefit in buying additional NI contributions to fill these gaps? Thank you.
