  • Overpaid Tax from 2021-2022

Hi I did my self assessment for tax year 2021-2022 last year and paid tax due of £530. This tax calculation consists of pension payment from my personal account (i.e. not deducted by employer) of £1000. I've now realised that I actually made £1500 into my pension account (two transfers £1000 & £500). This additional pension transfer of £500 will reduce my tax. I've now tried to amend my tax return 2021-2022 by updating pension amount from £1000 - £1500 which has reduced the tax due from £530 to £330ish but the problem is that I've already paid the tax due of £530, therefore I should get back £200 rather then paying again £330. Where should I add the tax due I paid (£530) in the existing return? I think this will bring the tax overpayment to £200. Thank you
