For the tax year 2021 - 2022, I paid 'payment on account' in Jan 2023 and July 2023.
Now for the tax year 2022 - 2023, the tax calculation sheet that appears AFTER I fill in the details doesn't seem to consider the payments I made last year.
So, will the numbers get adjusted AFTER i submit the return.. If not, what do we do?
I am a UK resident (& citizen). My family abroad in India wants to gift me with a cash lumpsum (c50K - 60K GBP) to help me financially in the current economic climate / cost of living crisis.
So if I receive the lumpsum from my mum, or brother or sister in law, will there be any tax implications for me?
Thanks in advance.
Thank you admin for confirming that no taxes will apply if my mum (from overseas) sends me (a uk citizen) a lumpsum to be used in the current economic climate.
If, instead of my mum my brother sends me this lumpsum, that's alright as well, right? I won't havecanybtax implications..?
Hi, i am a UK resident tax payer. My mum from overseas (India) wants to gift me a cash lumpsum c40 - 50k GBP, mainly to help me so that I can use it for my remortgage and support me in the current economic climate.
If she transfers this to my UK bank account, will there be any tax implications for me?
