Goodness HMRC, why do you make it so hard?! Simply, I am trying to file the R&D information form on behalf of a client, my first time. Totally frustrated. Following HMRC's guidelines, I tried the following: 1. First, I found myself here https://www.gov.uk/guidance/submit-detailed-information-before-you-claim-research-and-development-rd-tax-relief. I scrolled down to ‘submit the form’ (which I assume opens a black form to complete), and clicked on ‘start now’. 2. First question ‘Are you claiming for an accounting period which starts on or after 1 April 2024'. I click 'no' then 'continue'. The system then reads 'submit information to support your Research and Development tax relief claim.' All looking good. 3. Then, it asks me to Sign in with your Government Gateway user ID and password. I then click the ‘start now’ button. It then asks me ‘create an agent services account’. I already have one! Why is it asking me this if I already have one? And, last time I looked, there was no-where in the a agent services account to file these R&D information forms. Please help?
