I am residing in UK on Spouse Visa (Leave to Return) and have got a job offer from a German company (where I worked for 3 years while I was residing in Germany on EU Blue Card). After I moved to UK, I left the job. Now I have an opportunity to work online in German Company while being physically in UK. What conditions do I and my employer (German company) need to follow in order to work online?

I am also very interested to know this, I am on a dependent visa and have the opportunity to work for a German company remotely but they have no UK office.

Hi Nomana,

Your German employer will do what they need to do for employees, based in Germany. They do not need to do anything in the UK. You will have things to do.
You will need to register for self assessment below and declare your foreign employment income in a tax return.

Check how to register for Self Assessment

You will also need to request a certificate of residence at:

How to apply for a certificate of residence to claim tax relief abroad

You would then need to contact the German tax authorities to arrange for your employment income to be paid without deduction of German income tax. The German tax authorities may have other documents you will need to complete. You should contact them for more advice.

Thank you.
