Hi admin, While registering, I need to use the UK ID check app to confirm my identity, where I need to scan the chip on my passport. However, I hold a HKSAR passport and it can't be scanned. It is also stated on Gov. website that HK passports with the number starting letter 'K' would have problem with scanning. And I don't have any of the following to provide: a UK passport/driving license/credit record/payslip etc. It is very frustrating and I am worried that I can't file a tax return before the deadline. I have filled in a registration paper form SA1 and posted it to HMRC. It is over 5 weeks but I still haven't heard back. Would you be able to trace if the form has been received at HMRC? Thanks

Hi,

You would need to contact HMRC to see if the SA1 has been processed.

Self Assessment: general enquiries

Thank you.
