For over a year now I have been battling with HMRC over my over payment of cis and trying to get a repayment back. I have had the worst experience imaginable with your customer service. Firstly the phone lines are a complete disaster and you need around a day spare to try and get through. I have spent an hour on hold to be cut off a number of times. Then we get to the fact I have made multiple payments to corp tax ,and cis and even though I can prove the funds have left my account with bank statements I’ve sent you showing what time and date it was issued to your bank account I have been told you can’t locate the funds your end and where they are! There lost ! What on earth is that all about? We’re taking some of over 10 k here as well not just a few pounds. So with that being questioned I was asked to send in evidence and did so 16 weeks ago and still I have not even had a response. The bank statements we’re actually sent in a year ago this month… This was sent in recorded by the way and myself and my accountant/agent feel we are banging our heads against a brick wall. The claim and amount of money my company is owed is for me a lot of money and greatly needed in these difficult times. It’s having a huge effect on cash flow and me finding other contracts. I feel as a tax payer and hard worker all my life this is not acceptable from HMRC in any way shape or form. Today after a phone call we finally got through and all we got told was we can book a ticket to speak to an adviser on Tuesday and no answer as to what’s going on with the claim or why it’s still pending with nothing happening. I ask with great please that someone could contact me directly and help without just being told we’re under staffed or just giving out a ticket for the next week to speak to an advisor who don’t really help at all with any progress. I would love to come into an office and have a face to face meeting and bring all documentation with me to prove what I’ve done and to try resolve this as I been told email is not available and we have to send letters in post to collaborate. This again just takes to much time as soon the year is over and I’ve got no funds back from the over payments I’ve made. Please please can I get a manager to help me. Many thanks mr Thompson
