Dear HMRC, I recently dissolved my limited company, but my accountant did not submit the final tax return before the dissolution. As a result, the tax return for the period 1st March 2023 to 28th February 2024 is missing from your records. Since the company is now closed, it is no longer possible to file the tax return through the standard process. The company was trading during this period, but there was no profit, and therefore no outstanding tax liability to HMRC. I understand that a final tax return and accounts may still need to be submitted. Could you please advise on the procedure for filing these after the company has been dissolved? Thank you very much for your help. Kind regards, Jakub

Hi,
If the company has already been dissolved on Companies House there is no requirement to file a Corporation Tax return.
Thank you.
