Hello. My company was set up a year ago and has incurred large costs but no revenue as it never had any customers and I would now like to close it. It was part of a Franchise and having ended my agreement with them I have lost all access to the accountants that formed part of the first year start up support. My tax year ends at the end of August and I was wondering, as there was no revenue only costs, what I need to submit to HMRC by way of accounts and how, as I can't do it electronically. Your time appreciated and I look forward to your response. Kind regards, Ian.

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

HMRC cannot help with accounting-related queries.

You will need to seek assistance from an accountant.

You can find information about HMRC’s filing requirements for companies at COM60040.

You can also find guidance about filing a company tax return at

Company Tax Returns  .

Thank you .
