Change HMRC issued cheque to BACS payment

I received a cheque from HMRC yet I'm currently unable to pay it into my account. How do I request the payment to be issued through BACS?

Once a repayment has been issued as a cheque, we are usually only able to reissue the payment as a cheque. If the details on your cheque are incorrect, or there are any other reasons as to why you cannot pay it in to your account, contact our Income Tax team by webchat or phone via link below and we can arrange to have your cheque reissued.
