Hello. I received a message from CCS Collect regarding my company's tax debt. Since it appeared as a "collector" on the Gov.uk website, I made the payment and structured the remaining debt into 10 installments. However, when I looked at the HMRC website, I saw that the payment was not reflected. Daily interest continues to accrue. I made the payment on November 10th. Is this normal or have I been scammed?

Hi Gokhan,
Please refer to our website here:
HMRC and debt collection agencies
Which confirms that CCS Collect is a debt agency used by HMRC.
Interest will continue to accrue until the tax liability for the accounting period is settled in full.
If you are concerned a payment has not been credited to the company's Corporation Tax account please contact Corporation Tax Services.
Please seefor guidance:
Corporation Tax: general enquiries
We will need to know the date and amount of the payment.
We may also need to know the type of account the payment came from (UK Bank account, UK Building Society, or International Bank account) Details of the account from which the payment was made (Payer Name, Sort Code, Bank Account Number), the method (BACS, Bank GIRO Credit, CHAPS, cheque, credit card, debit card, direct debut, or FPS) and details of the account to which the payment was made (Sort Code and Bank Account Number).
Thank you.
