Can an employer financially incentivise lift share (where employees use their own car and give colleagues a lift to their normal workplace) for ordinary commuting? What is the taxation to the employer for offering the following financial incentives to employees to lift share with colleagues on the commute to the office: Free parking to those who lift share Discounted parking Vouchers to staff redeemable in the staff canteen Cash for lift sharing on a daily basis Prize draws to those who lift share

Hi ,

There is specific legislation relating to employer provided or support parking, which may mean it could be non reportable as a benefit.

We would need more information.

Please contact us on 0300 200 3200 to discuss in more detail.

Thank you .
