Hi, I filed my first CT600 via HMRC website. I have submitted all the account details and figures. As it is my first year of trading, the account reference date is more than 12 months and runs from 18/06/2021-30/06/2022. I learned I need to file to CT 600 form, one from 18/06/2021 to 17/06/2022 and second from 18/06/2022 to 30/06/2022. but the HRMC webfiling system only asked to apportion the turnover into the two dates and nothing else. In the end it only generated one CT 600 to cover the period from 18/06/2021to 17/06/2022 Can someone please tell me how can i file the second CT600 to cover the period for 18/06/2022 to 30/06/2022, please? as soon as I try to fill in the second one the message pops out” We have been unable to match your outstanding accounting period to the accounts you are filling” Thank you very much in advance.

Hi,

The dates you should have entered when starting the form originally were 18 June 2021 to 30 June2022. This would then have generated the two forms, one for the 12 month accounting period and the other for the shorter period.

To rectify the position the quickest way is to go back in and try and do the missing period, when you have the error message you need to scroll to the bottom and press the help button, you can then put in your issue and if you put a telephone number in the box someone will ring you to help you rectify the position.

The help button goes to a dedicated team and you should have a response within 2 to 3 days.

Thank you.
