Hello, In SA108 there are different category of asset types, e.g. Listed shares and securities/Residential property/Other property, assets and gains Can you clarify which category shall I count, for my disposals of the following asset type? 1. Share options traded in an recognised exchange 2. Future contracts traded in an recognised exchange 3. Foreign currencies 4. Approved offshore reporting funds Thank you.

Hello, Yes, I have already read the guidelines but it is not entirely clear about how options and futures fit in the definition. They are securities but are not issued by a company, so my understanding is that they goes to other assets.

As long as they are not declared in any of the property sections, to ensure the correct rate of tax is applied.
