I bought a property and lived in it for 5 years. I then moved area for a job and rented my accommodation while letting out my property. I have never owned a second property as I always planned on returning to my own house. However, i am now selling it. Do I need to pay CGT? I assume yes, but that I can get PRR for the months I lived there. Is this correct?

Hi maryjane,
It is likely if the value has increased. Yes you can claim PRR for the period you lived in it plus an additional 9 months as you did not return.
Thank you.
