I made capital losses in 2021/22. These are detailed in that year's tax return in SA108 Box 47 as "losses available to be carried forward". I did not sell any assets in 2022/23 and therefore did not make any capital gains or losses. Thus my question: Do I need to detail the losses made in 2021/22 in my 2022/23 tax return to carry them over or is this done automatically? Thanks.

Hi,

No, you dont declare anything and the losses will be automatically carried forward.

Thank you.
