Improvements - double glazing

I have just sold a property that I lived in for 15 years and rented for 20. Whilst living there I replaced the single glazed windows with double glazing. Is this regarded as an improvement and therefore a claimable expense?

No, this would be a replacement as like for like as single glazing would no longer be an available option at the time the windows were changed.
