I have two properties, one is the main family home, the other we have used as a holiday home for family use only.I am considering moving into the holiday property and selling the main home. What capital gains tax do I have to pay.

Hi Kathleen Mcloughlin,
As you have two homes, you need to confirm to HMRC which one is the main home for CG purposes.
Please see guidance here:
CG64485 - Private residence relief: only or main residence: two or more residences: right of nomination
Thank you.
