I have CGT from a property sale, but I am carrying forward CGT losses from previous years that more than offset the new gain. Using the HMRC calculator tells me that I have nothing to pay. However it is not clear whether I have to report the sale within the 60 day allowance period, since there is a gain that would trigger the reporting requirement before using the carried forward allowances. Please can you advise?

Hi,
Yes, you still need to report it, to show that you are using losses.
Thank you.
