Dear HMRC, I moved to UK with BNO Visa from Hong Kong to UK on Sept 2023. My husband and I jointly-owned a property in Hong Kong in July 2004 and then let until June 2020. We moved into the property in Sept 2020. My husband passed away in Feb 2023. I lived in the property until Aug 2023 and started to let on Oct 2023. I sold the property in Oct 2024. Could I claim a Apportionment of Gains from the date of leaving HK as I was non-resident in the UK for much of the time I owned the property? Best Regards, LSL
