Dear HMRC I have sold an overseas property in a country with a double-taxation agreement with the UK. I have completed the various sections in the SA Tax Return, and have calculated the tax owed. Do I need to attach the supporting paperwork that confirms the amount of tax already paid in the overseas country tax office?

Hi
You can attach it as a pdf for evidence but you should also show the tax deducted on the actual return in order to claim relief - you will declare the gain in both the foreign and capital gain sections of the return.
