Hi, for 2022/23, i made a gain of 10500£ and a loss of 1500£. Since my gain are already below the 12300£ allowance for 22/23, can i keep my loss of 1500£ to use it to offset future gains ? if yes, in what boxes should i report my loss ? many thks.

Hi,

No, any in year losses must be used first even if this means you lose out on all or some of the annual exempt amount for capital gains.

Thank you.
