Hi, I'm an expat living in the USA and have been a non-UK resident for many years now. My UK resident sister and I are the deed holders on our parents UK property and have been since the early 2000s. My parents have now both passed and we may be looking to sell it, and I'm wondering what rate of CGT would apply to me as a non-UK resident on any gains? Thanks, Stuart

Hi,
It depends on the amount of gain. it will either be 18% or 24%:
Capital Gains Tax: what you pay it on, rates and allowances
Thank you.
