I have incurred a loss on US preference shares when the business ceased trading in 2024. In my 2024/25 tax return how do I account for this capital loss? I will have no capital gains to offset it. Thanks in advance

Hi Trevor,
You declare the loss in the Capital Gains section and carry the loss forward.
Thank you.

Hi Trevor Robinson,
There is no time limit to use the losses once they are reported.
Thank you.
