In my Self Assessment return I included a liability to CGT on share deals. I have not received a calculation or demand for the amount due. In previous years the CGT was included with my Income Tax calculation and demand. When is CGT due if you have not done the calculation or issued an invoice?

I have found the problem - I made an error in my return such that the CGT was Zero. On correcting the error the calculation appeared and showed the amount due. It would have been useful if the original calculation that resulted in the 0 amount due had been displayed to me as this would have highlighted my error to me immediately.

Hi,

If submitted on the correct capital gain section of the return then this will show in your calculation. If you submitted the return online and included this as an attachment or a comment, then you will need to correct the return to include the capital gains section,

Thank you.
