I invested in a startup in some years ago, some EIS shares and some convertible shares. I did not report the loss on my self-assessment (the failure notice came in march 22), for 21/22. Can you advise how I can report this now to enable carry forward of the losses? For the convertible shares it was 100% loss, but i got a small payment back for the EIS shares. I received the payment this FY, is it therefore possible to put part of the loss in my Self assessment return for 23/24 (the amount was not finalised until recently) thanks for info!

Hi
You can send in an amendment to your tax return by completing the SA108 so that the loss details are noted.
