I have sold one property in this current tax year, resulting in a gain which I have reported and paid within the 60 days as required. I am close to completing on the sale of a further property, also within this current tax year which, using your online calculator, will result in a loss for me. Can I report this loss? If so, how do I go about this please? Can this loss be offset against the gain I have already had to report? If so, how would I go about this? Thank you.

Hi Patrickdrums Patrick,
If a UK property, you do not need to report within the 60 days.
You can then report it within your 2024/25 tax return so that it can then be offset against the gain already declared.
Thank you.
