CGT on declared main residence but not living in due to service reasons

Hi, I am a serving member of the Armed Forces and nearing to my retirement in next 6 years. I currently have a nominated main residential property which we (Me and my spouse) bought in 2020. We currently reside in a service family accommodation when moving around every 2-3 years. We are looking to upscale the residential property we own from a 3 bedroom house to a 4 bedroom house just before my retirement. Do we qualify for Private residence relief on our declared main residence near to my retirement. Our property is currently being let out and we complete self assessment return.
