I started trading shares last year and after netting off loses against gains I did not reach the £6k allowance threshold in fact made a small loss. However the total amount of receipts was above £50k. I am not currently required to submit a Self Assessment as PAYE. Do I still need to register and submit a self assessment even though I did not reach the £6k threshold?

Hi,
Please see the link below to check if you need to submit SA return. Based on what you stated in your post you do not need to submit SA return.
Check if you need to send a Self Assessment tax return
Thank you.
