Dear team Two of us own a property as Joint Tenants, and are about to sell it. The proceeds from the sale will be split 50/50 between us. We anticipate that one of us will pay all or most of the selling fees as the second person has paid for things like decoration etc (which are not attributtable for CGT). When doing the CGT calculation can we allocate all or part of the selling fees (estate agent, solicitors etc) to one of us or must we pay and split the selling fees equally? Thank you

Hi,

All income and expenses must be split in accordance with the same split for the tennants in common.

Thank you.
