I have recently moved to UK from Hong Kong in December 2023 via BNO visa. I am going to sell my previous residence in Hong Kong. When calculating capital gain, please advise if renovation costs and the the stamp duty previoulsy paid for the Hong Kong property can be deducted from the total gain?

Hi
Yes they can. For the renovation costs, these must be capital expenditure and you cannot claim for replacing flooring/carpets/decorating and the like.
